The 14th OQEANOUS Plus Meeting was Held

The 14th OQEANOUS Plus meeting was held online on March 24, 2023, with Prof. Cheol Huh from Korea Maritime and Ocean University (KMOU) as a chairman and, Prof. Ikuo Hirono from Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology (TUMSAT), coordinator from Shanghai Ocean University (SHOU), Associate Prof. Wanwimol Klaypradit from Kasetsart University (KU), Associate Prof. Lee Choon Weng from Universiti Malaya (UM), Associate Prof. Channarong Rodkhum from Chulalongkorn University (CU) and other faculty staffs.
The main topic of this meeting was a report of Online Exchange Program (OEP) which was held on Mar/17, and Short-Term Program (STP) which will be held from the end of July to the beginning of August.
As for OEP, the host university, Shanghai Ocean University (SHOU), thanked all participants and consortium universities for their contribution and all the support to make this program success. SHOU will issue certificate for participating students, and they will share the results of survey in next OQEANOUS Plus Meeting.
Then the meeting agenda followed with Short-Term Program (STP) 2023. Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology (TUMSAT) will be organizing STP in this summer and planning to hold field trip at Korea Maritime and Ocean University (KMOU) and TUMSAT this year. After a week of online lectures at the end of July, a four-day field trip to KMOU is scheduled from the next day, followed by a five-day field trip at TUMSAT. For this exciting field trip, we discussed about holding the joint online information session and budget sharing. Additionally, we consulted to hold off-line OQEANOUS Plus Meeting during field trip. We are holding meetings only online since OQEANOUS Plus Program has launched, so it would be wonderful to hold the meeting in person.
The next OQEANOUS Plus meeting is scheduled to be held online on Apr/21/2022 with TUMSAT as a host.
