Online Exchange Program (OEP) Was Held

On March 17, 2023, Shanghai Ocean University hosted Online Exchange Program (OEP). This program is designed to provide consortium universities with a joint online student exchange and encourage students to actively participate.
This year's OEP, the second of its kind since last year, was attended by 37 students (6 students from Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology, 9 from Shanghai Ocean University, 3 from Korea Maritime and Ocean University, 8 from Kasetsart University, and 11 from Universiti Malaya). In the morning, students attended school introductions and research presentations by professors from each university, and then in the afternoon, students were divided into 5 groups and each student took the lead in introducing themselves using PPT, including student life and research activities. During the group work time, students asked questions each other about what they were interested in and about their major. Two students from TUMSAT who are now studying at Kasetsart University through International Joint Program (IJP) and a student from Shanghai Ocean University who are now studying at TUMSAT through Double Degree Program (DDP) introduced their study abroad experience. Students were actively interacting with each other even online.
Some of the students who participated in this OEP were immediately motivated to participate in the Short-Term Program (STP) in July, and we look forward more students to getting interests also in the IJP and DDP.
