Accommodation

For OQEANOUS Plus students, the accommodation will be arranged from the following dormitories or apartment and will be offered by TUMSAT.
Accommodation fees are as below.

Each fee will be revised according to the social circumstances. Please consider below as an estimate of the cost of each dormitory. When you come to Japan, in the process of moving in, you will be asked to pay the fees in a lump sum.

Since you will not receive the scholarship immediately after your arrival in Japan, we recommend that you prepare approximately ¥300,000 cash for your immediate living expenses.

Procedures after arrival in Japan will be carried out not only by the OQEANOUS Plus Program coordinators, but also with the assistance of International Student Section of the Academic Support and International Division for Shinagawa campus, and Student Support Section for Etchujima Campus.

1. Shinagawa International House (at Shinagawa Campus)

・Reserve Fund is used to clean your room and curtain after you leave the room. 

・We charge you the last monthly payment and cleaning fee of your room and curtains as the reserve fund. We will withdraw them from your bank account on the next month after you moved in. Therefore, the next month after you moved in costs money for monthly fee AND the reserve fund. Please make sure you have enough money in your account. 

Beddings

・Beddings are neither provided in the Shinagawa International House, Kaio Dormitory, nor Hoyo Dormitory.
・Beddings are required for all residents. Shinagawa International House have a beddings rental system, but it is cheaper to buy beddings if you plan to live in the dormitory for more than one year.
・Domitories other than Shinagawa International House do not have a beddings rental system, so you must buy your own beddings.

・Beddings rental fee: ¥1,550 (monthly) : Rental applicants only
・Contents:
Comforter, pillow, blanket, bed pad, pillow case and bed sheets (Clean bed sheets and pillow case are available twice a month.)
Comforter is replaced with a summer cotton blanket between July and September.

・If you apply for the bedding fee, it will be transffered from your bank account with the monthly fee.

・Extra Heating and water utility charges and common service expenses may be additionally collected, when running short.

3. Kaio Dormitory (at Etchujima Campus)
