[Message from KIM JUNSEONG]
Through this program, I was able to systematically study research in the maritime field utilizing AI technology. In particular, discussions and collaborations with my academic supervisor, Professor Daisuke Watanabe, and many other faculty members and corporate researchers provided me with valuable perspectives from both academic and practical viewpoints.
During my internship at the Monohakobi Technology Institute (MTI), I had the opportunity to work on analyzing marine weather data and studying AI-based voyage optimization. This experience helped me understand both the potential and the challenges of connecting research outcomes to real-world applications. These opportunities have become a valuable foundation for my future career as a researcher.
Going forward, I hope to apply the knowledge and experience I have gained through this program to further advance the use of data science and AI in the maritime industry, contributing to safer and more efficient maritime transportation.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all members of the program for their continuous guidance and support.
