From March 21 (Thu.) to 25 (Mon.), 2024, we welcomed Associate Professor Lars Christian Gansel and Associate Professor Snorre Bakke from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology to discuss on advanced marine x AI research, student exchanges program and opportunities for future research collaborations. The special lectures were presented on the use of machine learning for AI to accelerate Marine Monitoring - a Cross-Disciplinary Approach to Ecosystem Understanding, and Effect of Sea-Based Aquaculture on Marine Wild Species of Norway at the 18th Marine AI Student Seminar Plus 2023. Master's program student Akira Eto(Course of applied marine biosciences from April), a member of WISE Program also presented his research on Stomach Contents Detection of Deep-Sea Fishes by Deep Learning. The seminar was held in a hybrid format consisting of online and face-to-face sessions.
