Report on Completion of Internship at IDEA Consultants, Inc. 　(HIWATASHI, Course of Marine Policy and Management)

I participated in a two-week internship program from Monday, August 21 to Friday, September 1 at IDEA Consultants, Inc. .

My main task was to build a fish school model using AI technology during the first week, and to examine the application of a game engine to the using of the fish school model during the second week. I also had the opportunity to observe an internal competition using a game engine in Osaka related to our work.

Throughout the entire internship, I felt that the important aspects of the project were different from those of my research in the laboratory. In particular, I had not paid much attention to the appearance of the deliverables in my previous research, but through this internship I experienced the importance of making sure that the deliverables look good and fully communicate to others. I also felt a great accomplishment in obtaining a visible product.

I feel that this was a very meaningful experience that I could not have had in a research laboratory. Once again, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at IDEA Consultants, Inc.  for their assistance during this internship.
