The 11th OQEANOUS Plus Meeting was Held

The 11th OQEANOUS Plus meeting was held online on December 02, 2022, with Prof. Cheol Huh from Korea Maritime and Ocean University (KMOU) as a chairman, Prof. Wang Xichang from Shanghai Ocean University (SHOU), Prof. Ikuo Hirono from Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology (TUMSAT), Assistant Prof. Wanwimol Klaypradit from Kasetsart University (KU), Associate Prof. Lee Choon Weng from Universiti Malaya (UM), Associate Prof. Channarong Rodkhum from Chulalongkorn University (CU) and other faculty staffs.
In this meeting, schedule of STP presentation was discussed. The culmination of STP Summer School, students will have online presentation to share their experiences. This presentation is scheduled on December 16th and timetable was confirmed in the meeting.
Then as with the last meeting, we updated the status of student exchange program for spring semester 2023. Many students are planning to go study abroad with this program, but under the strict COVID restrictions in China, some students planning to go to China have to postpone their schedule. We hope they can make it happen next year.
Lastly TUMSAT introduced TUMSAT-JICA Joint Symposium. On December 20, JICA (Japan International Corporation Agency) will hold the symposium either online or on-site. The topic is Human Resource Development for Promoting and Blue Economy. If you or your staff or your students are interested, registration is open now.
The next OQEANOUS Plus meeting is scheduled to be held online on Jan/16/2023.
