Ocean Science and Technology
We precisely understand phenomena occurring in oceans with various time and space scales through observations, experiments and theories, investigate mechanisms of occurrence of phenomena and interactions between different phenomena, and conduct research and education to build a model enabling prediction of changes in the marine environment.
Also, to utilize oceans and their resources rationally and sustainably while conserving the environment, we conduct research and education on measurement and information systems making full use of advanced theories and engineering technologies, development and advancement of production systems, risk management of the environment, system evaluation, etc.
