The 11th OQEANOUS Joint Meeting was held online on July 13 and August 31, 2020. Attending on behalf of our university were Prof. Masashi Maita, Dean of the Graduate School of Marine Science and Technology (responsible for implementing this project at the university), Prof. Akio Okayasu, Prof. Fuxiang HU, and four other members of the university staff. The meeting was also attended by Prof. Huh Cheol, Vice Dean of the Graduate School, Assistant Prof. Yang Inho and one other member from Korea Maritime and Ocean University, Prof. Wang Xichan, Dean of the Graduate School, and Prof. Zhong Junsheng, Director of International Exchange and five other faculty members from Shanghai Ocean University.
In this meeting, the participants exchanged information regarding the restrictions and border measures in different countries for the entry of foreign nationals, and the status of online classes at each university, under the worldwide spread of the novel coronavirus. They also discussed the possibility of conducting this year's STP (short-term program: summer school) online.
The 12th OQEANOUS Joint Meeting is scheduled to be held online in October 2020.
