In the interim assessment for the FY 2016 MEXT Inter-University Exchange Project (Re-Inventing Japan Project), which was adopted in FY 2016, Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology has received an assessment score of "S", the top grade in the 4-point scale of S to C. The report states that the project "demonstrates good practices and looks promising for achieving the project goals." 4 (16%) out of 25 projects have been awarded a score of S. Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology is the only one among 9 projects to have received a score of S in Category A-② (New Campus Asia projects).
The standardized credit transfer system that was established at a joint meeting between three universities in accordance with the CTSEA guidelines is in place to smoothly send/receive students while maintaining quality, and cooperation between parties is presently underway. The Excellent Double Degree Program (DDP) as well as the summer program (STP: Short Term Program) and the international joint educational program (IJP: International Program) have been set up and are being carried out at present. Trilingual coordinators have been stationed to provide personalized services as part of a student support system. As a result, more exchange students than originally anticipated came to study at Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology. These efforts were highly appreciated.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude for those who put in their time and effort to promote the Inter-University Exchange Project (Re-Inventing Japan Project) (OQEANOUS program) of Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology. We would also like to ask for your continued support for this project.
