On August 19, 2019, as part of the Overseas Quality-Assured Education in Asian Nations for Ocean University Students (OQEANOUS) Program and a student exchange and education program between Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology (TUMSAT) and Korea Maritime and Ocean University (KMOU), the KMOU-TUMSAT Joint Workshop (Academic Forum for Master's Course and Doctoral Course Students) was held.
Assoc. Prof. Daisuke Watanabe from Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology, along with Prof. HUH Cheol from Korea Maritime and Ocean University, and four other academic staff members attended. During this forum, seven graduate students from KMOU, and two graduate students from Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology presented their research at the Shinagawa campus.
There were a total of 26 students who attended, including OQEANOUS IJP students and summer school students, and a Q&A session was held spiritedly after each presentation. Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology and KMOU actively exchanged ideas and opinions with each other, which helped to further promote the OQEANOUS program. All in all, the event was very meaningful for those who attended.
